This map presents the distributional information on European pollinators compiled, complemented and organised by Safeguard partners. The map depicts EU wild pollinator spatial information and the years when the species have been recorded.
How to use the map:
Filter your search by country, family, genus and/or tribe. You can also type in the taxon name in the search box. Your search will be automatically filtered and a list of taxons will appear.
Select up to four taxons from the column to the left of the map. Distribution pins will appear on the map. Each taxon is differentiated by one of four main colours – blue, yellow, red, and green.
Initially, the results will appear clustered. Zoom in/out and find the specific location where the species has been recorded.
You can also filter the results by year. Use the slider beneath the map to select a year range. If you are not interested in records without year, untick the checkbox ‘Show records without year’.
