IFSA 2026 is organised by the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Montpellier (CIHEAM-IAMM) and will take place in Montpellier, France, from 29 June to 3 July 2026. 

Under the theme “Farming and Agri-Food Systems Dynamics: Facing Crises and Trade-Offs in Transition Pathways,” the conference will examine progress and debates in the area of sustainable farming systems. Focus will be on how such systems address crises, inform decisions, and navigate the trade-offs and synergies that define transition pathways and their impacts.
